“I respect the moderators”. Maybe not, suggests The Washington Post, as Trump has been somewhat painted into a corner by these moderators in the past, so folks will just have to wait to see what happens.

CNN’s Anderson Cooper and Martha Raddatz, chief global affairs correspondent and co-anchor of ABC’s “This Week”, will moderate the second debate, set for October 9 at Washington University in St. Louis.
The business executive’s campaign did not respond to an inquiry.
The Commission on Presidential Debates, the body that organizes the debates, announced all of the moderators on Friday.
This election cycle is different as well because it’s the first since three former debate moderators have retired from regular television work. “It’s about time to have a Latino or a Latina in those debates as moderators”.
Hofstra’s 2012 presidential debate was a more relaxed town hall debate that gave us Mitt Romney’s famous “binders full of women” comment and saw a more energized Barack Obama after an uninspiring appearance during the competitors’ first clash.

The exchanges were uneventful. Raddatz held Trump’s first interview after saying Senator John McCain was not a war hero. John McCain, R-Ariz., is “not a war hero”.
With Trump in the mix, there’s also plenty of potential for shock value.
“There seems to be a pattern, Mr. Trump”, Raddatz said. Its anyone’s guess how she assembles her questions. “Isn’t that language beneath the office of the president?”

The rules stipulate that candidates will have two minutes to answer the question, but moderators can use an additional minute to further the conversation. Clinton’s camp has preferred to let Trump do the talking, banking on his lack of discipline and reckless rhetoric.
