Android 6.0 Marshmallow update now available in India

Today, Android 6.0 Marshmallow update has started to hit more LG G4 handsets in Europe. Prior to that, owners of the LG flagship in Poland had their G4 updated to the latest build of Google’s open source OS.

LG is waiting for its Australian carriers to approve and modify the update – these often include new home screens, lock-ins, preferred apps and more. According to a Reddit poster, the update is available in Portugal, Poland, Romania, Germany, Turkey, U.K., Croatia, Hungary and Switzerland.

It seems that LG is finally rolling out the Android 6.0 Marshmallow OTA update to its G4 device in the European region, the LG G4 can now be updated to Android 6.0 Marshmallow via over-the-air or via LG Bridge, a PC application that’s made for the LG devices. Currently, the version 3.1 update is now on Play Store and users can download it for free, Android Police reported.

This first edition is addressed primarily to enthusiasts eager to test Google’s Android 6.0 Marshmallow, available for the next generation of mobile devices, disregarding the possible bugs that could affect the functioning of the devices.

The LG UX will be upgraded as well, so expect many improvements to be implemented in the user interface, such as changes to auto-brightness, peeking feature, additional memory settings, and many more. The Apps settings page has been simplified and there are a few apps that got renamed, Qmemo is now Capture+ and LG Bridge is now called LG AirDrive.
