Android 6.0 Marshmallow Update: Which Devices Will Get Google’s Latest Mobile

The wait for the newest version of Android is finally over. So someone is clearly testing such an update. Rumor has it that Samsung will release the Galaxy S7 early next year with Android Marshmallow already installed.
Google promises a smooth transition from its previous OS, Lollipop, and Marshmallow.
So far, only Taiwanese manufacturer, HTC, has announced plans to update several flagships and other devices.
Fingerprint scanning smarts also get full support, with Google looking to boost security around mobile payments, especially as its Android Pay service recently launched in the U.S.
As seen previously, the Nexus users have an option to manually update their smartphones to Marshmallow OS, it is however suggested to install the OTA update.
Many OEMs have published the list of handsets that will eventually receive the latest Android 6.0 Marshmallow update.
For now, the feature is only available to Android 6.0 users, and before you can get started, you’ll first have to have the Google Translate app on your phone. When introducing the new Nexus 5X and Nexus 6P last Tuesday, the company said to expect the software availability this week.
Additionally, Android 6 Marshmallow updates the application permissions system in Android, giving users the ability to better control what components and data an application can be granted access to. Google, has however, not yet given a particular time-frame for the Android One Marshmallow update rollout.
