Android 6.0 Update Rolls Out To The NVIDIA Shield Tablet K1
The version of Android 6.0 that is now available on the Shield Tablet K1 packs no surprises.

That changed on Monday, when owners of the gaming-focused NVIDIA Shield Tablet K1 began receiving Android 6.0. This time, speculations add that Google will partner with Huawei for a refreshed Nexus 7 and could launch the new Nexus addition as early as May next year. XDA-Developers adds that, based on discussions in its forums, only the K1 variant is expected to see this upgrade – meaning that tablets purchased prior to last month will be officially stuck on Lollipop, though not for any technical reason.
So, unless you’re a Google fan (and that you have been using Google phones ever since it existed, choosing Chrome instead of the laggy Firefox), you might not want to opt for this because, trust us, you might want to have your money’s worth, don’t you?
First of all, NVIDIA announced the update brings a new UI for the camera, which was inspired by Material Design.
Moreover, the Quick Settings menu can be personalized as well by adding or removing shortcuts and rearranging toggles.
Additional system-wide improvements include the option to monitor Memory Usage with the detailed usage of each application, and optimized preloaded apps. You’ll also get app standby enhancements and improved Bluetooth Low Energy scanning power efficiency.
Keep in mind that the update is about 665MB in size, so make sure you have enough storage on your NVIDIA tablet.
