Android Marshmallow 6 release offers better key features and enhancements including more personalised control over apps.

Now that Google Inc (NASDAQ:GOOG) has officially announced the next major update for Android i.e. Android 6.0 Marshmallow, smartphone OEMs are busy preparing for the rollout of the same to their respective devices. Just like with the S6 series, a few say that the Samsung Galaxy S7 will come in 5.1- and 5.7-inch variants. The mobile carrier listed the three flagships to be under “manufacturer development phase”, which means that there will be confirmed updates for these devices. Let us know below.

Samsung’s Galaxy Grand had been kept a secret for a while but TENAA have released not only multiple images of the new device from all angles, but there is also a specs sheet. Even if the production process for such a handset is more expensive and the product situates itself in the premium area, Samsung seems to think this is the best marketing move.

US carriers are expected to follow T-Mobile’s lead. Not that that comes as any surprise.

Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge and Note 5 have new stylish accessories designed by Opening Ceremony. This would make it the third year in succession that Samsung has unveiled a Galaxy S device at the Barcelona trade show.

There is also news around the tech town that the Android 5.1.1 Lollipop is going to be rolled out for the Galaxy Note Edge quite soon. After nearly two quarters, these tablets are expected to get the update, and most probably the Galaxy Tab S2 users will be the first to spot the update.

The leak, if true, suggests that older handsets from the Korean manufacturer like Galaxy S4 and Note 3 would not be receiving the latest Android upgrade.
