Android Auto coming to 40 car models this year
However, if you’re in Android’s beta group and you’re interested in living in a world of auto rotations that applies to your home screen as well, all you have to do is long press on your home screen, tap “Settings”, and toggle with the “Allow rotation” feature under the “Home screen” section. Apple’s iTune store allows developers to make promo codes to give out copies of their games and apps, but it is something that Android has been missing all this time. Today, Google is beginning to push out a new update to the Google+ Android app that includes some new tweaks and whole host of user-requested fixes. To enable auto rotate, you’ll need to download the latest Google app update from the Play store. But that feature may have not been meant to go live yet as it has now “disappeared” from the Google Now update.
So Google is taking it upon itself to enforce the guidelines by normalizing icon sizes as shown by the above example image from Ars Technica. While Google does have guidelines that specify how to create an icon of the correct dimensions, many developers completely ignore these rules in favor of creating the largest icon possible.
