Android Lollipop is now installed on 23.5% of devices
Since then we’ve been treated to a few pretty great Android insights, with the launch of Android 6.0 today, Nat & Lo have looked at the easter eggs that Google has been putting into Android since Android 2.3.

Google has a long history of hiding Easter eggs throughout its product cycle – even the much-derided Nexus Q has a Magic 8 Ball feature – but the Android version Easter egg is one of the most consistent and enjoyable oddities. In other words, from the beginning of September onward, 21% of all active Android devices had at least one of the two versions known as Lollipop up and running in their respective devices.
As part of its move to simplify processes and make things easier for users, Google has added a very useful feature to Android 6.0 Marshmallow.
KitKat is down slightly, to 38.9% from 39.2% last month. As for the trio of Jelly Bean iterations combined, they now hold a 30.2% market share, down from 31.8%. Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich fell from 3.7 percent in September to 3.4 percent in October. Keep in mind that any versions with less than 0.1% distribution are not shown in the list.

Android Lollipop is likely to continue the rising trend in the next couple of months until Marshmallow gets installed on more devices, which is likely to happen beginning next year.
