Android Marshmallow Release News For LG G4, LG G2 and LG G3
Owners of the LG G2 are in for some great news thanks to a leaked screenshot that shows Android 5.0.1 Lollipop running on their handset. The Android 5.1.1 Lollipop comes with a lot of bug fixes and enhanced functionality. So the users of G2, G3, and G4 will have to wait for any update from the smartphone firm. People who were there to witness the reveal took their chance for a free photo op with the new Android statue, as they were given a treat of free hot chocolate with marshmallows. The new OS version is believed to correct known issues from previous 5.1.0 version. On the other hand, the South korea-based Samsung regularly update its devices with the newest of Android versions, even though the rollout may not be fast.

As far as the older models of LG phones are concerned, it would appear that the LG G4, the most recent version of the G series of smartphone was lucky enough to come with Android 5.1 out of the box.
Unfortunately, there are some rumors which say that the LG G2 smartphone will certainly not even receive the Android M version.

If you can’t recall, a report back in June said that Galaxy E7 will get the Android 5.0 Lollipop in the third quarter of 2015, but it seems it’s not happening for the folks in the UK. The Android M version is already available for the developers as a preview version and it will most likely get released sometime in October 2015. There is also no additional information from LG on its future plans to mobile devices. Phone Arena reported what LG Hellas posted on social media that it has no immediate plans to roll out Android 5.1.1 version, specifically in the G3 model. No, there will probably be another slow rollout, so I wouldn’t be surprised if LG G3 owners don’t get it until 2016 and LG G4 owners might get an early Christmas present.
