Before you get too excited, this new OTA update has only just started to roll out, and so you might still be waiting for the latest and greatest version of Android to become available.
Google has also confirmed that the LG’s upcoming V20 smartphone will be the first one to ship with Android 7.0 Nougat OS, directly from the box.
The following devices are also expected to get the update, though the exact timeline is not clear: HTC 10, HTC One A9, HTC One M9 and Sony Xperia Z3. Tim Schofield on Youtube has a pretty good preview of Android 7.0 that you can look at below.
After launching as a public beta in March, Android 7.0-otherwise known as Nougat-is officially out of its beta stage and available for Android devices. However, those going from a previous Android version to Android 7.0 will notice many changes.
Android Nougat will offer a number of new features including enhanced security, split screen app viewing, a new look home screen, better battery performance and an improved notifications.
Following the rollout to Nexus mobiles, its up to individual handset manufacturers to push the update to their users. Any devices enrolled in the Android Beta Program will also receive the over-the-air update. But what if you don’t want to wait?
