Android Nougat tipped for August 22 launch
This also means Google is ready to release the final images of the latest Android version for smartphone brands to start pushing updates for their devices. So in this regard, starting from this Monday, Huawei Nexus 6P and LG Nexus 5X will be getting the final Android 7.0 build, reports Telus, the Canadian mobile operator.

This year, Google seems to be running slightly ahead of schedule with the rollout of its Android 7.0 Nougat preview.
But if you don’t fancy Nexus smartphones, you do have a few other options, as some phone makers push Android updates faster than others.
Google released the Android N Developer Preview well ahead of time, and also simplified the installation process to get more users test the OS before official release.
But, just like with all Android updates, Android Nougat won’t reach all devices right away. It is expected that the Android 7.0 Nougat will be available for the Nexus 6, Nexus 5X, Nexus 6P, Nexus 9, Pixel C devices, as well as General Mobile 4G Android One devices.
Nexus devices were excluded from the study since they always receive the latest Android updates on the day they are released. Howe+ver, after a long gap, Google appears to be heading back to HTC for the development of two new Nexus smartphones. Last year Google has come up with Android 6.0 Marshmallow updates.
While, Google has remained tight lipped about the release date, specs or price of the highly anticipated Nexus 2016 flagships codenamed HTC “Marlin” and HTC “Sailfish”, a new report suggests the launch is likely to happen sometime in November.
A leading tech portal revealed that the Google Nexus 7 2016 will be probably equipped with a NVIDIA Tegra X1 processor. Even though some may claim that tying the upcoming Google Nexus 2016 handsets to carriers would result in delays when rolling out Android updates, this shouldn’t be the case when it comes to the Nexus lineup.

It has also been reported that the Google Nexus 7 2016 shall have significant shooting refinement and enhancements with the reported inclusion of the Sony IMX179 camera sensor.
