If we’re going to talk about Brandon Tate’s bad day returning the ball, we have to talk about Adam Jones’ relatively bad day running the ball.

Still, in the waning moments of Monday’s game, there was the sense that these Bengals would find a way to win. And the Red Rifle wasn’t about to put up with any of Watt’s nonsense. The Texans controlled that aspect of the game.

Both saw their playing time increase from the first half of the seaon. It was definitely an acceptable thing to say after a win. “That’s their best player”. “And I think we did that tonight”. Coming in against that team is something special. Hoyer remained in the game for the rest of the series, a span of five plays, before heading to the locker room.
The Texans (4-6) were an appropriate team to end the run. But that mark didn’t come without a few harrowing moments.
Ultimately, the fifth-year quarterback will take the brunt of the blame for the loss to the Texans, but realistically, Dalton isn’t the only one to blame.
Dalton converted a third-and-18 on a pass to receiver A.J. Green to keep the drive alive. This isn’t the first time that Green fumbling the ball has ended a late Bengals rally, but it’s just as soul-crushing every time. He finished with three catches for 26 yards while being targeted seven times.
“I didn’t intend to create any controversy”, Dalton said, adding that he just answered a question based on how the comments were portrayed by a reporter.

“We tricked this game off”, Peko said. “I’ve got to make that (expletive) play”. This loss wasn’t his fault, and he played very well on defense despite the touchdown allowed, but his miscues this week didn’t help the team.
