Andy Murray surprised by Brexit, says time to unite
Following his shortcomings to win his first ever Grand Slam title, Raonic heads to the ATP 1000 Masters in Toronto on July 25-31, where he could play the likes of Murray, Novak Djokovic, Rafael Nadal and Roger Federer.

The 29-year-old, who became Britain’s first male Wimbledon singles champion for 77 years in 2013, is the 12th man to enjoy more than one All England Club triumph.
Murray added a second Wimbledon trophy to his collection by beating Canadian Milos Raonic 6-4, 7-6 (3), 7-6 (2), joining Federer and Djokovic in the small list of fathers who have won a major.
The Serb’s 30-match Grand Slam winning streak was ended by Sam Querrey at Wimbledon, but he still leads world No. 2 Murray by almost 5,000 points in the ATP rankings.
“From where I was kind of at the end of that year after I had the surgery, yeah, it’s been quite a long, long road back”.
Obviously a lot of questions would get asked of me after those losses. “I know that he (Djokovic) will come back strong from this because of the player he is”. But after Djokovic’s loss in the third round, and Murray’s third Grand Slam trophy, the margin is 15,040 to 10,195.
“I was anxious about the consequences of losing those finals”, the 29-year-old Scotsman said Monday at the All England Club, sitting near the 18-inch Challenge Cup, now and forever etched twice with “A. MURRAY” on the side. “That was the same again today but I wasn’t thinking too much about the previous experiences that I’ve had, I was just trying to find ways to beat Milos today”.
Three-times Wimbledon champion McEnroe was commentating on the final for ESPN on Sunday. The Scot said that the birth of his child had only added extra motivation to train harder.
But having that title in his pocket, Murray says that this title was more for himself, which might explain why he was able to more freely emote after the deed had been done. But the support that I had throughout the two weeks, especially today was wonderful.
But Murray reached out to Lendl, an eight-time major victor, following his French Open final loss, which came shortly after a split from coach Amelie Mauresmo.
For the United Kingdom still grappling with Brexit, Andy Murray’s triumph in the Wimbledon 2016 came was one uplifting moment, and not without a reason.
“I still feel like my best tennis is ahead of me, that I have an opportunity to win more”, Murray said. But despite the heartbreaking loss to Murray at Wimbledon, Raonic insisted he would attempt to carry the same level of play and hopes for another masterful run when he hits the hard court in NY. “I feel, yeah, more content this time”.
“This is the most important tournament for me every year”. We’ve all worked really hard to help get me in this position. “I’ll give it my best shot to do that”.

“I do think he’s a leader”, said Murray. I tried coming forward, putting pressure on him.
