Andy Samberg Tours HBO With Bike Doping Mockumentary
According to TVL, Samberg and the creative team are set for Tour de Pharmacy, which, as you might have put together, will take a fictional look at the doping scandals that have plagued professional biking over the years, especially following Lance Armstrong’s whole thing. Jake Szymanski (Mike and Dave Need Wedding Dates) is directing and serving as a co-executive producer.

Samberg and Miller’s Tour de Pharmacy marks just one of a few current television projects for Samberg.
David Bernad will also executive produce with M Elizabeth Hughes producing.
Tour de Pharmacy is Samberg’s latest faux-doc, a collaboration with Murray Miller which parodies the doping scandals in professional cycling that have been nearly as endless as the 2,276-mile Tour de France route. Though the project is now casting, Daveed Diggs, Julia Ormond, Phylicia Rashad, Will Forte, Dolph Lundgren, John Cena, Mike Tyson and Nathan Fielder are among those already attached to star.
Samberg, a former Saturday Night Live cast member who now stars as Jake Peralta in police sitcom Brooklyn Nine-Nine, has previously spoofed tennis in a show entitled 7 Days in Hell (here’s the trailer). The 45-minute mockumentary starred Samberg and Kit Harrington as rival tennis players engaged in an epic seven-day final match at Wimbledon.

Miller is repped by UTA and Rohner, Walerstein and Miloknay. He will next be seen in the fourth season of Fox’s Brooklyn Nine-Nine and has a voice role in Warner Brother’s upcoming animated feature Storks.
