Angela Lansbury reportedly joins Game of Thrones cast

On the bright side, though, it sure sounds like season seven will be worth the wait.

Just in case you had any doubts that 2016 is the most utterly weird year on record, IGN reported on Tuesday that “Game of Thrones” might be bringing the foremost expert on murder, Angela Lansbury, to Westeros next year.

Lansbury isn’t the only actress whose name has been brought up while discussing the HBO show. However, German outlet Bild (via The Independent) claims Lansbury will appear in two episodes of the upcoming seventh season. She’s enjoyed huge success on Broadway and is now set to return to the stage for the 2017-18 season with a revival of Enid Bagnold’s 1955 play The Chalk Garden.

Of course, we have no idea if this rumor is true or what character Lansbury will play, but we’re so excited.

A young Howland (Leo Woodruff) appeared last season as he stabbed Ser Arthur Dayne (Luke Roberts) before the Sword of the Morning could finish Ned Stark.

Meanwhile, Lansbury is not the only actor who has been linked to “Game of Thrones” recently.

But that’s just speculation on our part.

One guess is that she could be playing Maggy the Frog, the fortune-telling witch who prophesised that Cersei would become Queen someday but also that she will lose all of her three children.

You’ll set us off too.

The Season 7 of Game of Thrones will air on Star World Premiere HD in India next year. While Northern Ireland will be the main filming site, the show will also do some additional scenes in Spain and Iceland. The filming of the show has been delayed so that the production team can benefit from the changing weather and show the arrival of winter as proclaimed by Sansa in season 6.
