Angelina Jolie has filed for divorce from husband Brad Pitt, a source familiar with the filing confirmed to CNN.

She did not request spousal support.
Meanwhile, it was previously claimed that Jolie was more focused on their family life than Pitt was. Shortly thereafter, Pitt was granted the right to legally adopt Maddox and Zahara. “I kindly ask the press to give them the space they deserve during this challenging time”, Pitt told People in a statement.
“It nearly makes you get past those issues because you can laugh at them”, Jolie Pitt said.
December 2011: During promotion for her movie In The Land Of Blood And Honey, Jolie admitted she was being pressured into marrying Pitt by their children. In the papers, she has allegedly written date of separation as ’15 September 2016′.
Brad and Angelina were last seen out together in July, just ahead of their second anniversary, when they took their twins Knox and Vivienne out for a birthday breakfast in West Hollywood.
Ms Wasser, known as the Disso Queen for her skill at dissolving marriages, is one of Hollywood’s most famous lawyers and has represented A-list stars including Johnny Depp, Kim Kardashian, Stevie Wonder and Britney Spears. The couple has been together since 2004.
A friend of the pair said: “I could say the divorce announcement is a shock, but it’s not”. Ironically, Pitt’s earlier divorce with actress Jennifer Aniston was allegedly due to children.
Their romance first sparked while on the set of Mr. & Mrs. Smith, while Pitt was still married to Jennifer Aniston.

More recently, the two stars appeared alongside each other in “By The Sea“, which Angelina co-wrote and directed, telling the story of a married couple who are unhappy in their relationship.
