“Angelina is a very spiritual person and has long believed her tattoos are more than just designs on her body – that they actually hold some meaning, power and influence over her”, the insider added.

The tats, which appear to be inspired by the Buddhist form of body art, yantra, are blessings for peace, love and prosperous life, according to People. Supposedly, she’s had it written on the back by a Buddhist monk or a special rue practitioner.

Jolie has spent the last couple of months in Cambodia directing First They Killed My Father for Netlix, a story about a woman’s survival in Cambodia. This was the same artist who worked on Angie’s shoulder blade and her lower back. The new tattoos include two ancient Thai Buddhist symbols and mantras, which are thought to help provide protection, and a Yant known as “Paech chaluaek”, a symbol of good deeds. She is been filming a brand new film in Cambodia and seemingly the expertise has led her to ink it forever on the staying empty regions of skin.

Many of Jolie’s tattoos reference her relationships or her children, and while it might not be immediately apparent, these latest additions are also related to the Jolie-Pitt brood.
