According to a Channel 5 representative, Angie Bowie chose to stay on the show after hearing that her ex had succumbed to cancer at age 69.

A cabaret-style talent show caused rows, love and laughter on day five in the Celebrity Big Brother House.

The unseen “Diary Room” voice then suggested gently she take “all the time” she needs-while it carries on filming her sobbing.

“They handled it fine, as fine as it could be”. That’s because she’s competing in the Big Brother house.

Tiffany Pollard later apologised to Angie Bowie, saying: “I’m very sorry for your loss, I really am”.

Beginning to break down, she was joined on camera by John Partridge and David Guest, who consoled her. She added: “Stardust has gone”.

Cheban also said that he didn’t blame Pollard for the mix-up between David Bowie and David Gest. “Are you insane, would I do something like that to you?”

But the argument escalated as Bowie lashed out at other housemates.

But, already, five of the Celebrity Big Brother contestants are up for eviction in the reality TV show – with perhaps surprising results. “Why the f*** would she do that?” That is so f***ing -!

Claiming she was homesick and missed her kids, a tearful Danniella walked out of the “I’m A Celeb” jungle, after hoping she would have been voted out in the first elimination.

Although producers said she had been informed of Bowie’s death in private, viewers accused Channel 5 of using her grief in a “shameful” bid for ratings.

The couple split in 1980 after 10 years of marriage.

The pair were married for a decade and had a son, Duncan Jones, who was born in 1971.

However, during a previous Diary Room chat he had admitted to feeling suffocated inside the “Celebrity Big Brother” house. It’s getting down and dirty. It’s becoming impossible, I don’t know where to sit… “I’m so anxious I’m going to have a heart attack”. We knew it, the judges knew it and even he knew it. That didn’t stop the public voting for him week after week, until he eventually made a decision to leave of his own accord… but not before dragging Kristina Rihanoff along the floor behind him.

Gemma Collins was distraught to say goodbye to Cheban, as the two had formed a close friendship in the house.

After more shouting and swearing, it became apparent – to the viewers, at least – that Tiffany had assumed it was her housemate.
