It has been reported that the 24 year old fisherman, Erik Axner, was on the fishing trip with his friends, Jonathan Jansson and Martin Bamberg, when they somehow managed to hook the mammoth halibut, the world’s biggest species of flatfish.

He said that it took more than an hour to control the huge fish.

He then jumped into the freezing water to get a picture with their huge 16 stone catch after they found themselves unable to fish it out.

After taking some snaps with the catch, they realized the fish.
