An angler, Donna Pasco, 56, along with her 4 team members battled for almost 4 hours to bring the beast on land.
Donna, who reeled it in near the Three Kings Islands, off Cape Reinga, New Zealand, said: “It was very stubborn, but I’m stubborn as well.”
According to the report, last year a giant tuna of weight 222 kg was sold for $1.09 million at an auction in Tokyo, Japan.
But unlucky anglers hadn’t caught on a commercial fishing boat so she is not allowed to sell the beast.
