Anil Kapoor admits facing hurdles during ‘Welcome Back’ shoot
“SUPER!” The movie tells the story of how a local goon John Abraham falls in love with Nana Patekar and Anil Kapoor’s sister Shruti Haasan but only ends up earning their irk as the brothers want a boy from a decent and respectable background for their sister. They are enamoured by a fake princess (Ankita Shrivastav) and her mother (Dimple Kapadia). The filmmaker and his team was successful in developing a replica of this Palace in Mumbai film city in order to shoot the song called Tutti as the authorities didn’t allow them to shoot the same in the real palace back in UAE. The two at the latter list are new addition in the sequel being the replacement of Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif.

While there are several references to the prequel, you don’t miss these connections as this film stands firm on its own terrain, albeit following the same formulaic pattern, in premise and plot, as its predecessor. Since the two cool bros have left all the bhaigiri and have become shareef, they are not very keen on getting their sister married to Ajju Bhai. But in the final analysis, his presence does not add much value.
Yesterday I watch the movie, frankly I was expecting it as normal but it is one level up.
Welcome Back features four renowned actors of Bollywood- Anil Kapoor, Nana Patekar, Paresh Rawal & Naseeruddin Shah. It also stars Paresh Rawal, Naseeruddin Shah, and Dimple Kapadia.
The film’s special effects seemed so artificial that you can see right through them. In a nutshell: dons face dons, lovers are kept apart, cons are hatched, and hilarity ensues. They play off each other’s strengths and exhibit great comic timing, most notably during an inspired sequence at a graveyard.
The buffoonery in the first half does keeps you in splits but the pace slacks in the second half. Welcome Back might be 2015’s silliest film and this is the best reason to watch it. After all, when was the last time you came out of the cinema giggling? It’s not amusing that able-minded humans spend 150 minutes demonstrating to us what a LSD-fueled midlife crisis would look like. After all the hustle and tussle, you sit through experiencing the “been there done that” sort of situations, hoping the director would make honest efforts to tickle your amusing bones. Welcome. No Problem. Thank You.
This Anees Bazmee comedy caper is comic only in parts.

Replacing Akshay Kumar in the sequel is John Abraham as Ajju Bhai/Ajay Barsi, while Shruti Hassan plays the female protagonist opposite Abraham. “But never mind, there are others who have managed to reprise their roles and boy aren’t we glad!”
