Animal Crossing: New Leaf amiibo Support Arrives This Fall
Animal Crossing and Amiibo seems like a natural match.

Using Animal Crossing amiibo or cards will prompt villagers to enter your town, but it’s not known what exactly their role will be. While we’re still not getting the current-gen console Animal Crossing title fans have wanted for a few years now, Nintendo is trying to cut their losses on the Animal Crossing amiibo cards by adding amiibo support to Animal Crossing: New Leaf.
The update has only been announced for Japan, but a Western release is as likely as Nintendo’s desire to sell more Amiibo things. Images on the Animal Crossing website show a collection of items from Nintendo’s Splatoon. It should make playing the game a fresh experience if nothing else.
Just to be clear, the Animal Crossing: New Leaf update will be going official free of charge, and it’s scheduled to go live in a few months’ time, sometime between September and December. The same goes for amiibo from different games, though it stands to reason that doing something like using a Mario amiibo might unlock some kind Mario decoration or outfit in New Leaf.

“What about amiibo from other series?” Grab those Animal Crossing amiibo while they’re still on sale-I imagine demand will go back up soon!
