Animal lovers slam I’m a Celeb after Fearne McCann eats live spider
The “TOWIE” cast member remained in a tank for eight minutes, in an underground bunker, which was slowly filled with various critters, including a jungle python, which wrapped itself around her head, prompting her to joke: “I’m doing a Britney Spears”. “I didn’t think I would get bitten so much”. I needed something straight away.

“I thought I was going to be a massive fanny and miss all me make-up and clothes but I didn’t”.
After her win, she said she’d tried to be herself during the competition – but “sometimes it was hard because I’m a bit too crude for ITV normally”.
Former Hammond School pupil Jorgie Porter has finished fifth in reality TV show I’m A Celebrity.
Fern McCann eats a live spider in order to pass one of the most digusting food challenges on the show.
After Ferne was successful, George took on the Critter Attack Bushtucker Trial in hopes of winning three desserts, and as it was the end of the series, the show’s bosses did not hold back on the amount of critters used for the task.
Vicky and Ferne – who admitted she’s already missing fellow campmate George Shelley – both looked gorgeous and fresh-faced as they posed for the camera.
Host Ant McPartlin called McCann a “hero” for eating the spider, which she said “smelled of cockroach, tasted dirty – the body was mushy and gunky and the legs were spiky and crunchy”.
“I’ve heard these multi-million pound rumours, and I’m not going to lie, they’re very exciting”, she said.
The Only Way is Essex star ate the Australian waterspider as part of her last Bushtucker Trial – and we don’t know about you, but we watched the entire segment from behind a pillow. “She is pretty, but she’s also a genuine person and a girl-next-door kind of girl who is obviously talented”.
The campmates won starters, main courses and puddings after completing their trials.
Well done Vicky, you do deserve it.
But now Vicky insists her mum is finally proud of her again.

When pressed to select a victor, she said: “Don’t make me choose”.
