Annabeth Gish To Reprise Her ‘X-Files’ Role

They were controversial additions to a series that fans were already anxious was disappearing into its own mythology, but it’ll still be good to see Reyes back and catch up with the character who, like Mulder, was a believer in all things paranormal.

Annabeth Gish will be reprising her role as FBI Agent Monica Reyes in an upcoming episode of the new “X-Files” series, Fox has announced.

The X-Files returns to FOX January 24, 2016. A pal of Agent John Doggett (Robert Patrick), who had been assigned to the X-Information following Mulder’s (David Duchovny) disappearance, Reyes ultimately joined Doggett as his companion in investigating unusual instances. Last year, she had a recurring role on the final season of “Sons of Anarchy“. And now we can add Annabeth Gish to the list of returning players. “I’m not going to do it. …I’m very happy with the job I have”. It’s not that I wouldn’t be interested … Over the course of its nine-season run, the influential series went from breakout sci-fi favorite to massive global hit, and became one of the most successful television dramas of all time.

While Patrick is sitting out this revival, Mitch Pileggi, William B. Davis, Bruce Harwood, Tom Braidwood and Dean Haglund are all confirmed to be back for the miniseries.
