The movie begins with Hathaway at her baby shower, but unfortunately the party is broken up by a volley of mysterious meteors that transform anything male into a bloodthirsty mutant alien. Hathaway also joins the upcoming film as a producer, alongside her husband, Adam Lauren, Schaeffer, D.J. Gugenheim and Andrew Lauren.

With the alien invasion sub-genre becoming exhausted as of late, so this interesting play of the sexes will certainly help to make it fresh again.

The Shower previously made last year’s Black List – which recognises the “most liked” screenplays yet to be made into Hollywood films. The remaining women must fight to save themselves and the entire world.
Currently, the team are working on the packing phase of their feature, which involves getting actors and a director signed on before financiers and studio reps enter the equation.

Before “The Shower” hits cinema screens, the award-winning actress can be seen alongside Robert De Niro in new comedy movie “The Intern“, which opens next month. Indeed, in addition to taking the central role in screenwriter Jac Schaeffer’s story, Hathaway will also be producing the film.
