“They told me my layaway was paid in full by Santa B”, said Karen Hernandez.
A similar good deed has recently been reported in Pennsylvania, with $109,000 CAD worth of layaway items at a Wal-Mart paid for by another donor.
“I would just grab him and give him a big hug and say thank you, thank you from the bottom of my heart”, Kathleen Bates said.
Steven Myers, the store manager, saidhe came face-to-face with Santa B. That amount is said to have covered the store’s entire layaway balance.
At a Harrisburg Walmart Monday, there was nothing little about one man’s generosity.
Jefferies said the company contacts customers by telephone if their accounts have been paid off. Sometimes they, in turn, donate to other layaway tabs, he said. “It’s like Santa, like a real Santa to me.” So Cromwell put a combined media console and space heater on layaway with the hope of giving it to him on Christmas.
One donor wrote checks on Tuesday to completely pay off the layaway tabs at two Cleveland, Ohio stores, ABC 5 reports. Walmart store employees say this is the second year in a row where someone has come in and paid for customers’ items during the holiday season. A “Frozen”-themed bed that she’d put on layaway for her 3-year-old daughter had been paid off, she said”.

“Christmas is a time of year when many people go above and beyond to give back to their neighbors and communities”, Walmart said in a statement.
