Just last April, Rachael Farrokh weighed just 40 pounds when she was losing her battle with the eating disorder.
The gaunt woman believed she would die without receiving proper medical treatment.
Now, she’s working to help others. Her transformation so far has been a miracle.
Rachael raised almost 200 thousand dollars on her GoFundMe page.
Actress Rachael Farrokh has been battling anorexia for over 10 years. “I didn’t know that I deserved it”.
With the blessing of her doctors in Portugal, Farrokh traveled to Washington this week to attend the second annual March Against Eating Disorders.
It was enough for her to receive life-saving treatment at a Portuguese clinic, where specialists worked with her to put back all the weight and muscle mass she’d lost to her disease.
“They were so anxious about my body, and my body wasn’t responding because they didn’t understand the brain had to come along with the body”, Farrokh said.
She adds: ‘Rachael is fighting valiantly. “My mind is so much more clear and my thinking has developed”.

At the march, a healthier and vibrant-looking Farrokh told Los Angeles TV station NBC4 she’s ready to use the platform she’s been given to create awareness about the disease.
