Another AAP MLA arrested, Kejriwal attacks PM Modi again
On Sunday, Delhi police arrested Aamanatullah Khan, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) legislator from Okhla, after a woman alleged she was harassed by a youth at the legislator’s residence in southeast Delhi’s Jamia Nagar area, police said.

However, the AAP rubbished the charges on Saturday instead claiming that the Delhi Police “pressurised” the lady to give a false statement.
“We will produce him in court later in the day”, the officer added.
Further, he tweeted in Hindi, “Anandiben in Gujarat sends Dalits and Patidars to jails in false cases, Modiji sends Delhiites to jails in false cases”.
According to the FIR, as reported by PTI, on 9 July, while the woman had gone to the MLA’s house to complain about power cut in the area, at the behest of Khan, a 22-year-old youth allegedly threatened to get her raped and killed.
The complainant alleged that the supporter said he was abusing her on the “orders of Khan”.
The woman then filed a complaint with the police on July 20 alleging that the youth threatened her on MLA’s instruction.
The Okhla MLA also said that he was in Meerut from 9 to 10 July while his children were holidaying in Kashmir on the date, the dates on which the woman claims to have come to his residence.
Following the arrest on Sunday, Khan’s supporters gathered outside the Jamia Nagar police station to protest.
Following his arrest, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal blamed Prime Minister Narendra Modi and posted: “Just in – Modi ji arrests one more AAP MLA”. He wanted her to “stop politicising the matter”. “Now Delhi and Gujarat will fight (against this) together”. In a statement, AAP said, “Regular arrests of AAP MLAs show how rattled Modi is, by the support AAP is receiving all across India”.
Delhi police report to the central, not the AAP government. They said the legislator had been framed.
The video also shows the involvement of the BJP workers in the complaint filed by the woman.
“This party (AAP) has anti-women character and is filled with criminal minded people who don’t respect women”, BJP Delhi unit chief Satish Upadhyay told IANS.

“The SHO is tutoring the complainant to add the rape allegation”, AAP leader Saurab Bhardwaj said.
