Scream Queens follows the story of a series of murders taking place at Wallace University and is a modern take on the classic whodunit story. Jamie Lee Curtis has been cast in “Scream Queens” and the “Halloween” and “Prom Night” actress shares her thoughts on being a part of the new TV series and talks about her role in a recent interview. The first season of that show will center on the OJ Simpson, and boasts an all-star cast that includes Cuba Gooding as OJ Simpson, Sarah Paulson as Marcia Clark, John Travolta as Robert Shapiro, David Schwimmer as Robert Kardashian and Courtney B. Vance as Johnnie Cochran. According to Deadline, “Scream Queens” will also premiere in all Fox global Channels licensed markets within 24 hours of its debut. So I was really looking forward to getting an opportunity like that. She will be adding a humorous vibe to the dark show. She teaches us girls coming up how to be.
Question: You have this ensemble cast and they all have this terrific dynamic.
I grew up loving horror films. Particularly notable among the newbies is a strong black girl (Keke Palmer), a girl in a neck brace who’s obsessed with death (“Glee” star Lea Michele), and good-hearted Grace (Skyler Samuels), who immediately realizes how evil Chanel is and vows to expose her. You get to be a part of creating your character. Why go with an imitation when you can have the real thing? I went after John Travolta who was like “What?” “I’m blessed in my career to work with people like that”.
Are you excited for the show’s premiere? He’s the type of director that lets you do your thing. There isn’t any sort of jitters like “Oh, we’re going to be replaced”. But one certainly could watch a few minutes of Scream Queens and pass it off as a bubblier coed entry in the AHS franchise.

I mean, I’ve been called “scary”, “intimidating” and “hardcore” before, and that reading was literally none of that. By the time they got to set they were all super pregnant and there was nothing they could do.
