Another Football Player Has Joined Kaepernick’s National Anthem Protest
“I’m not against any of those entities at all”. Miller believes that social change is needed in the United States and even though he has no plans to sit out during the national anthem. “So when we have an opinion and we speak it, I feel like a lot of people bash us for what we have to say”. That’s what our military has fought for, the ability for everybody to be themselves. “I know this is right”.

“To me, that’s exactly what we’re talking about”, Marshall said. “It’s kind of like a respect thing for everyone who served, here especially”, Reavis said. I feel good about it. “But at the same time I should be active as well”.
Marshall, who will turn 27 on Saturday, attended the University of Nevada with Kaepernick.
On Sept. 7, three West Virginia Tech volleyball players joined San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick in his protest against the treatment of African-Americans and people of color in America.
Pregame protestation of the national anthem, “is the right platform”, Marshall asserted in a postgame interview at Mile High Stadium, where the Broncos defeated the Carolina Panthers 21-20.
“I’m not against the police”. I’m against social injustice. “There’s a lot of hate out there but I’m not here to spread hate or negativity”.
During a FanDuel event in NY, the Jets’ Brandon Marshall spoke out about the controversy.
“It’s hard for vets in this country as well”, Marshall said. “So I definitely want to stand by him”, Marshall felt that his actions on Thursday night would further the conversation that was started, and hopefully lead to more players speaking out. “It’s insane. So, now he knows what it feels like”.
Brandon Marshall of the Denver Broncos will lose money after deciding to stand in solidarity with Colin Kaepernick by kneeling during the National Anthem. The Broncos issued a statement Thursday night saying the team respects Marshall’s decision to support his ex-teammate.
Marshall said he didn’t discuss his action before the game with any member of the Broncos except tight end Virgil Green and decided Sunday to do it. Marshall will “absolutely” continue to do it, he said.

Marshall’s protest came before the first National Football League game of the 2016 season, a rematch of the Super Bowl from a season ago, won by the Broncos. He said he’s also going to confer with Kaepernick.
