Another Wild Finish For Spartans, Upsetting Ohio State 17-14

After Ohio State’s 17-14 loss to MI State, Elliott said he was “disappointed” in the play calling that resulted in only 12 carries for the star tailback. That caused the Buckeyes coaching staff to limit the junior running back’s carries, giving him two in the second half. They still won, thanks to Michael Geiger’s game-winning kick as time expired.

This year’s installment of “The Game” might bring back some of that bitterness, hatred and intensity found in the Woody-Bo era. Elliott apologized to Meyer and will not face any punishment. I could have told you a month ago that that was going to be my last game in the Shoe as you can see I was very emotional before the game.

“Honestly, that’s not what I’m thinking about right now”. It was the only time MSU led in the game.

“I think he said what a lot of people are scared to say”, Bosa said. The fifth ranked team in the country is making a strong case for being included in the CFP and should get more support this week, unless the committee is hell bent on keeping Notre Dame in the conversation.

In essence, OSU lost the game because they didn’t throw the ball down field and became very predictable with their run game which right played into MI State’s strength. “To me, I think that’s always an advantage and I embraced it”.

“I am concerned about how [the offensive line] affects each other, not in a positive way but in a negative way”, the Gators coach said on ESPN.com.

Also: “I agree it was the wrong time and place to say that I was going to leave after this year”.

“I’m not surprised at all”, Meyer said. “I call a lot of plays anyways”.

O’Connor has known nothing but victory in Ohio Stadium. Meyer said that the Buckeyes’ play calling was too conservative, and put the onus on himself to improve that.

“It’s pretty surreal right now”. They had more quarterbacks then they knew what to do with and potential All-Americans everywhere. “I felt bad for him because he obviously was hurting emotionally and he’s a passionate person”.

Most of all, though, the Spartans displayed this is more than just a nice run under the growing legend of MSU head coach Mark Dantonio.

Should the Hawkeyes beat Nebraska next week, they will finish 12-0 in the regular season – just a year after finishing 7-6. Did you break out a little alternative Rammer Jammer at the expense of your nemesis, Urban Meyer, who’s cost Nick Saban a shot at two more national titles?

The Buckeyes were not the only previously unbeaten team to lose at home, as Oklahoma State was beaten 45-35 by Baylor, while rival Oklahoma narrowly avoided a home defeat, surviving a late rally by Texas Christian to win 30-29. “Hopefully, we’ve got another generation coming through”, he said. Ohio State usually averages 230 yards per game.

The Ohio State Buckeyes should be disappointed. “It was just a huge family for me and all the coaches were always real and 100 percent with me”.

“My parents are all about us and they put their kids above everything, so it was pretty easy for him”.
