Ant-Man was the conclusion to the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s Phase two, with Captain America: Civil War being the beginning of Phase three. However, rather than simply have Paul Rudd playing Scott Lang as the main lead again, hell costar alongside Evangeline Lillys Hope van Dyne in Ant-Man and The Wasp on July 6, 2018. The first post-credits scene in Ant-Man had Hope being bestowed by her father Hank (Michael Douglas) with an updated version of the Wasp suit once worn by her late mother Janet.

Marvel wouldn’t release the names of the three new films but the studio did give them release dates. It’ll mark the first Marvel film that will be named after a female superhero, ahead of their Captain Marvel movie, you guys.

Marvel Studios has announced an Ant-Man sequel will be reaching cinemas in July 2018. One of the biggest Disney news is the release date for Marvel’s “Ant Man” sequel, which is officially slated for July 6, 2018 launch, Forbes.com reported.

There are still no official announcements on phase 4, but with the movies continuing to be huge box office hits is only a matter of time for Marvel to start planning more pictures for the franchise. This week, the mega-successful film studio has announced that the film will be getting a sequel, titled Ant-Man and The Wasp.

The “Phase 3” schedule, which was previously locked, will now shift once more due to the sequel’s 2018 release. Frustratingly, no titles were attached to those dates, but at least we know the next decade will kick off with plenty of comic book films for us to watch. The next film to do so will be Captain Marvel, which is now expected to open March 8, 2019.
