Anthony Gell School continues trend of excellent GCSE achievement

“Regardless of the grades young people achieve, it’s important they remember there is still plenty of support and advice available, whether they continue learning in sixth form or at college”.

“I hope to study History, Maths and English Literature here next year”.

At Ryedale School the figure for C grade or above in English and maths 71% and the EBacc was 24%.

Many students achieved fabulous individual results.

Year 11 pupil Lia Veall, 16, was also thrilled with her five A’s, four B’s and two C’s.

I wasn’t expecting to do this well and thought a lot of exams had gone pretty bad but apparently not”. Most of the girls have outdone themselves.

He was closely followed by Ellen Walkingshaw who achieved ten A*s, one A and one B. English has gone up 85 per cent which is a fantastic achievement for our students.

Head Lindsey Cooke said: “We are all so excited and pleased for this wonderful group of students”.

I would also like to thank all staff for their tremendous work to ensure the success of their students, and parents and Governors for their continued support’. She was very happy with her results today.

Sarah Binney, assistant head added: “I am really proud to see that the students have achieved such pleasing grades”. Amongst them are: Sisters Anna and Faye Conisbee who, between them, accumulated 6 A*s, 7 As, 3 Bs and 3 Cs.

He said: “I’m happy but with all of those results”.

Overall, 56 per cent of pupils received five or more A* to C grades, including English and Maths.
