“When the bell goes it’s just me and him in the ring”.

Breazeale is following compatriot Charles Martin into Joshua’s Greenwich fortress, where the 2012 Olympic gold medalist is fighting for the seventh time in his pro career.

But when asked whether he would be up for sparring against Joshua, Hart was quick to make his excuses and get out of the gym. Anthony and I are two big punchers. I’ve got to put my home address into an app, then if I train somewhere else I have to put in that address.

“Once youve got that belt, you feel like ‘Im the man, ” said Wilder.

Joshua has a bad habit of bum rushing his opponents right from the get go, and that nasty habit nearly cost him the fight last December when he was staggered by Dillian Whyte. When I was a challenger, I was hungry and I already had the mentality that ‘you’re going to really have to kill me or hurt me bad to get me out of this ring.’ So that’s the mentality that these challengers have. He’s gotten away with it thus far, but that style can only take you so far if you can’t come up with more tools and mix in some boxing. He thinks he’s going to KO me.

“Expect fireworks. We’ll be going round for round, punch for punch and I expect to knock out Joshua”.

“People pay to see blood, they pay to see war and that’s why people are supporting my journey, because I deliver every time I step in the ring”, Joshua said.

“They can stay there for up to two hours while I “produce”, but I had to explain to them that I also needed to eat following a hard training session”. If he can’t learn to box, use movement, and show some finesse, I think he’s going to take major punishment and wind up getting knocked out repeatedly.

Beyond Breazeale lies the promise of richer fights to come against the likes of Tyson Fury, David Haye and Wladimir Klitschko.

Joshua insists he has nothing to lose. and says if it was up to him, he’d get rid of the belts and just go mano e mano. He has the belt and I intend to have it on Saturday night.

“I respect you as a fighter, but I’m going to beat you”.

“I definitely believe [Joshua] realizes (and) understands that he’s got a big test in front of him”. Breazeale will be swimming with cash if he defeats Joshua on Saturday night.

“I don’t put anything past Breazeale because he’s coming in hustlers’ territory”. This is the opportunity I’ve been working on for eight years.

“He’s a tough guy”, Joshua said of Breazeale. He has become the world’s best after pummeling Charles Martin a few months ago and due to his success the UK’s biggest sportsbook has taken notice. “So this is the first fight of the official new deal”. The victor of the contest will be the guy with the better chin and the one who lands their shots first.
