Choosing between Hillary Clinton and Trump, Mackie went for the latter.

Earth’s Mightiest Heroes may have just been knocked down a peg, because Anthony Mackie has just done the unthinkable.
The interviewer then asked if that was his official endorsement. While promoting his new film Our Brand Is Crisis – a political drama – Mackie says with a smile and a laugh that yes, he endorses Trump for President of the United States. “100 percent”, he said. “If you’re the pull-yourself-up-by-your-bootstraps candidate, people will identify with that”. “I’m drinking the Kool-Aid!”
Naturally, the internet was quick to slam Anthony for being pro-Trump – but we’re hoping he just meant the Donald’s already so open that he’d be easy to manage.
“If you question me, or you say something about my family, I’m coming at you, so I would definitely lose every presidential race”.
“Trump, he’s an easy sell because you can sell him as the guy who worked his way up from nothing”, Mackie told BET.
It wasn’t long before Mackie’s endorsement created a backlash on Twitter. The star has been criticized this year for saying he encourages his nephew to avoid groupthink and refrain from wearing dreadlocks, in regards to acts of police violence and back males.
