Anthony Martial was worth the money – David Beckham

Manchester United look to make it three Premier League wins on the bounce when they host Sunderland at Old Traford on Saturday with a host of injuries.

“He doesn’t read the papers, maybe he hears it from his fellow players but it is possible [to break the record]”.

The 19-year-old has been a revelation since joining Louis van Gaal’s side for a whopping £36 million from Monaco, having already scored four goals in four games for the club.

On the other hand, it has been a sustained period of misery for Sunderland since the beginning of the campaign.

“The Black Cats’ head coach Dick Advocaat remained upbeat despite the midweek defeat – and Sunderland will need to be positive given their record at Old Trafford, with just one win in their last 26 visits”. This marks Anthony’s fourth goal at the United, in four matches.

Misery seems to be a feeling epitomised by the North East, with both Sunderland and their bitter rivals Newcastle United floundering at the bottom of the table when the season had promised so much.

In defence it would be a surprise if Matteo Darmian didn’t return to the starting right-back position.

Rave of the moment, Anthony Martial would be hoping to continue his excellent start at United against Sunderland.

The nine players are: Cesar Azpilicueta, Scott Dann, Damien Delaney, Wilfried Zaha, Nathan Dyer, Kelechi Iheanacho, Daley Blind, Yann M’Vila, and Duncan Watmore. The lack of cover on the bench in Rojo and McNair’s absence will be a worry.

Brazil u-21 worldwide Pereira, making his first competitive start for the club, curled a free kick past the helpless Bialkowski after 60 minutes to double United’s lead. The last two games have been a breath of fresh air as far as the Manchester United attack goes. In the centre, Wayne Rooney will remain at No.10 with Martial just ahead of him.

Now, one of the club’s former players has praised United’s latest acquisition, with David Beckham telling Sky Sports he’s enjoyed watching Martial’s start to life in Manchester, and hopes the goals continue to flow.
