Anti-gun Bloomberg teases $1 billion White House run
We’ve heard Hillary Clinton say she believes that means only if doesn’t get the nomination; but bottom line here, which side does he hurt the most?

Western Journalism reported on Saturday that Bloomberg is considering a third party run for the White House and that Trump’s success, coupled with that of Democrat Bernie Sanders, were factors in his decision to consider running.
A new Star Tribune Minnesota Poll shows that while the former secretary of state would handily beat out Sen.
Now, however, according to the Times, he feels that the prospect of Trump, a populist whose campaign has been fueled to a great degree by anti-immigrant rhetoric, facing off against Sanders, a social democrat who like Trump rails against the political establishment, could change that calculus.
Sanders, of course, would first have to get past Clinton in the contest for the Democratic nomination before such a race could take shape.
Bloomberg, who has always been said to harbor presidential ambitions, has taken a more serious look at the 2016 race after concluding that Trump’s victory on the right and a Bernie Sanders victory on the left could leave moderate voters without an alternative. Well, he’s going to run as an independent-which he’s been since 2007.
The camp that thinks Bloomberg is mainly sending a message cite the timing and method of making his interest known – a leaked story a week before the Iowa caucuses – and the fact that no third-party candidate has won the presidency.
Bloomberg, a billionaire, regularly contributes large sums of political contributions to anti-gun candidates who are pledged to get guns off the streets and out of the hands of criminals. “I know Michael. And I could see him doing it. And I would love to have Michael run”.
Mr Trump, 69, a real-estate mogul and onetime reality TV star, said that Bloomberg “might very well get in the race”. He switched his party affiliation from Republican to independent in 2007 and in recent years has spent millions on national campaigns to tighten United States gun laws and reform immigration. On this scenario, Bloomberg sees himself as a centrist alternative.
Trump had a similar message Sunday when he was asked about Bloomberg’s potential campaign on CBS’ “Face the Nation”.
Former New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg says he is seriously considering running as an independent.

Republican presidential front-runner Donald Trump said following the news that he would welcome Bloomberg’s candidacy. “You know she’s a very supportive person, a very loyal person, and I think the answer is yes”. “If he becomes a candidate, then we’ll have a conversation about our difference”, the Florida Republican said. “When you’re not a candidate you don’t deserve to be evaluated”, Christie said Sunday.
