He did well among independents, who are allowed to vote in party primaries in New Hampshire.

Dr. Jane Sanders weighed in on controversial comments made by former Secretary of State Madeleine Albright and feminist activist Gloria Steinem over the weekend that appeared to chastise young women for voting for her husband Bernie Sanders over Hillary Clinton. But his advisers said he lost in part because he lagged so far behind President Barack Obama when voters were asked which candidate seemed to care more about their problems.
This year, seven Republicans hopefuls already have announced plans to campaign in SC, including more than 40 events ahead of the party’s February 20 primary.
On the Democratic side, Coombs argues the Sanders’ victory can’t hold against the former secretary of state’s campaign organization, and support among black voters.
PELLEY: But New Hampshire, largely white, a more liberal population that the states you’re headed to next.
Clinton took a step toward acknowledging that frustration during her concession speech last night, telling the crowd that “people have every right to be angry”.
“Endorsements are nice to have if you’re an establishment candidate, but we’re running a revolutionary campaign”, Limon said. “As the process shifts to South Carolina, Nevada, Florida, and the Southern primaries, she will do better because of her strong support among African American voters”, Brookings Institution’s senior fellow Darrell West told Xinhua, referring to the next primary contests.
Currie echoed that sentiment, saying that Clinton’s record would win out against Sanders’ ambitious platform of free college education and single-payer healthcare. We’re not likely to know the outcome until Super Tuesday in March, when a group of Southern states cast their ballots. But shifting staff roles alone won’t change how Clinton is viewed by voters, Democrats friendly to the campaign say. But compared to Sanders’ nearly singular focus on this issue throughout his political career, Clinton has come across as late to the game. Some 432 of them are elected members of the Democratic National Committee, 240 are Democrats now serving in Congress and the remainder are sitting governors and party elders, including former presidents, vice presidents, DNC chairs and selected former members of Congress.
“I’ll be honest – right now, the math looks hard to raise another $1 million today”, campaign manager Jeff Weaver said in an email blasted to supporters. “More people will then have to think about him, so it might well do the trick”.
