Hats off to them”. He never got close enough to do so. The Skins went on to win Super Bowl XXVI that season with Rypien being named SB MVP.

So after the Browns debacle Sunday and the Steelers’ stellar performance Monday night, it’s just a miserable start to the National Football League season.
The total has gone over in the Redskins’ last four games against the NFC. In the fourth quarter, the Redskins were trailing by just a touchdown. Hopkins was the Redskins’ entire offensive production until Thompson’s touchdown. In a fantastic performance from the ageless wonder, Williams has to be right there with Roethlisberger and Brown as the MVP of the first win of the season.

On Brown’s first touchdown reception of the night, a second quarter 26-yard score on 4-and-1, Breeland was stride for stride with Brown. Which is why we all collectively gasped for air when it was announced that linebacker Ryan Shazier left the game with an apparent knee injury. Tomlin said he’d have more information Tuesday. Starter Matt Jones carried only seven times for 24 yards. When pass options are limited on the field, Cousins has to gain some rushing yards to keep them in the game. Norman advanced toward Bruton until defensive back DeAngelo Hall separated the two.
