The Spaniard bagged a brace in the 2-2 draw with Swansea City on Sunday, taking his tally for the season up to four Premier League goals.
Diego Costa rescued a point for Chelsea as Swansea secured a 2-2 draw to end Antonio Conte’s flawless start to the season as head coach.
“Chelsea deserved to win this game”.
Gary Cahill is expected to avoid any punishment from the FA for his post-match comments about the match officials after Chelsea’s 2-2 draw at Swansea City.
Chelsea boss Antonio Conte confirmed after the match that Terry had suffered an injury but said they wouldn’t know the full extent of the problem until further tests were carried out.
“I’m very happy for (Costa’s) passion but he took a lot of kicks and it’s incredible the defender finished the match”.
Costa’s acrobatic second rescued a point for Chelsea who maintain their unbeaten start to the season.
No free-kick was awarded to Chelsea by Marriner, despite the Dutchman clearly making contact with Cahill and not touching the ball.
He said: “It’s a clear foul”. He is a very good striker and his attitude is very important to his game.
Ivanovic headed over Willian’s free-kick and Fabianski showed bravery to fall at the feet of Costa, but the breakthrough eventually came after some scruffy Swansea defending.
Yesterday saw Manchester City end Manchester United’s flawless run to the opening of the season- three games, nine points.
But Chelsea could have doubled their advantage seconds later as Terry flicked on Nemanja Matic’s corner but Costa fired wide from a couple of yards.
“We are disappointed for the result, not for the performance because I think the team created a lot of chances, played good football with good intensity”.
He might have received a second yellow card for falling to the ground as Swansea goalkeeper Lukasz Fabianski came out to challenge him midway through the second half.

Guidolin changed his usual formation to try and stop Chelsea in their tracks, opting to go with three central defenders, but it did not really work as Chelsea went ahead after 18 minutes through Diego Costa. “When he is scoring goals, we are doing the right things”.
