Antonio Conte praises team spirit after Watford victory
Having relied on a late Costa strike to beat West Ham on Monday, Conte’s men were largely disappointing but found a way to win.

Conte is enjoying a ideal start to life at Stamford Bridge and praised the togetherness of his squad after turning to his bench for match-winning inspiration.
“I am sure Aina has a good future, but with the numbers, five defenders, if there is an injury or a ban we are in trouble”.
Conte had fought hard to bring the Colombia forward back to Chelsea on his Stamford Bridge arrival, and insisted Cuadrado remains a Blues player as things stand.
“I hope to continue also, but we know that he must pay attention in all situations”.
“I am happy for how we played for 70-80 minutes because we played very well but I am not happy with the result”, Mazzarri said.
With the clock ticking, Antonio Conte sent on Michy Batshauyi, and Cesc Fabregas and the former benefitted from some bad goalkeeping from Heurelho Gomes to tap home after the Brazilian made a mess of a long-range shot.
“It’s early. We have a good team, there are a lot of good teams in the Premier League and we will see at the end, but of course we want to be the champions”.
Summer signing Batshuayi, who joined from Marseille for £33.1m, has played a key role in ensuring the club have a 100 per cent Premier League record this season.
“I think these two games we saw this and I’m pleased they had the right commitment and attitude of the players”.
The 54-year-old is no stranger to moving between teams – in 15 years of management, Watford are already his eighth club – and, it appears, the one where he has encountered the fewest problems adapting his players to a new style.
Meanwhile, Watford boss Walter Mazzarri is still waiting for his first win and he was upset with their collapse in the final 10 minutes.
The Italian said he would not be able to sleep after blaming mistakes from his own players for both of Chelsea’s goals.
