Chelsea completed a late comeback to win their second match of the 2016-17 Premier League season on Saturday, beating Watford 2-1.

The Blues were heading for a shock defeat until Michy Batshuayi came off the bench to equalise and Cesc Fabregas produced a superb assist for Diego Costa’s victor.

Not that he had anything to prove; the three-time Serie A victor as Juventus manager has won 28 and drawn two of his last 31 league games, the most recent Monday’s late 2-1 win over West Ham as he made his Chelsea bow.

“I think also that its important to create the right feeling because me and my staff try to give them 110 per cent in our work every day and, for this reason, I also ask this of my players”. However, the Italian said that the Blues will not be held ransom to exorbitant player transfer fees.

Shortly after, Eden Hazard instigated Chelsea’s first opportunity at goal when he effortlessly evaded past Craig Cathcart and played an incisive pass into the six-yard box, which was cleared away from danger just in time by Britos with Costa waiting in the wings for a simple tap-in. It’s all nice and well to celebrate the 1-1, but we came for the win.

Yet he dismissed ideas that this will continue to be his starting XI, adding: “Week by week I will see which team is more prepared to start each match”.

“We got in behind a few times and in the second half we knew they would come at us and knew they had a lot of quality”.

Watford gained the lead through an Etienne Capoue strike in the 55th minute, but this didn’t stop the Blues from clawing back in the last 10 minutes. Costa wanted a free-kick of his own after contact near the Watford box, but the Spain global went down a little too easily and was told to play on. “If we can improve this squad, we want to improve it”. “It won’t be easy but I’m pleased it happened”. We played very well.

“But in Italy we d say that we complicated our own lives”.

Chelsea were second-best for the first 70 minutes, but Conte sent on Batshuayi and then Cesc Fabregas and the former scored while the latter had a hand in both goals. We were not focused at either goal.

51′ – CHANCE! A great ball is delivered across the face of goal from Oscar, it’s too far for Costa but Hazard does well to make connection at the back post but he can’t keep it down.

“It s important to change the situation compared to last season and we are trying to do that with all our strength”.
