Apple first unveiled a public beta program for OS X for Yosemite in 2014, providing the general public with the same version released to developers in the third seed of the software.

Those who sign up for Apple’s beta program for Mac or iOS devices get a built-in Feedback Assistant app to easily report a bug they come across.

First of all, you need to sign up for the beta program.
The download is 213 MB heavy, however, it is not a problem if a user’s device has limited memory as the update will prompt if deletion of apps is okay (they will reappear after the update has been installed).
If you don’t mind burning through your carrier’s data plan, you’ll now be able to select that you want high-quality audio streaming on Apple Music via your cellular connection.
Apple is also throwing a new two-factor authentication system into the mix, which is created to complement-but not yet replace-its existing two-step verification feature. Scroll down to step number two under the iOS section, and tap on the Download Profile button.
Apple wrote “Please note that since the public beta software has not yet been commercially released by Apple, it may contain errors or inaccuracies and may not function as well as commercially released software”. From there, you can download and install the preview onto any compatible devices that you own.

That said, the urge to resist temptation will probably be given in to within relatively short order and I’ll suddenly find myself lock, stock and barrel in the land of iOS 9 and El Capitan betas.
