It has been alleged that Aphex Twin has taken to playing DJ sets anonymously in a variety of locations in recent years though these claims are unconfirmed.
While he’s barely played a handful of live shows over the past four or five years, the tides are now turning, with a confirmed U.S. appearance taking place this December at Day for Night Festival in Houston, Texas. “We can indeed confirm Aphex Twin is performing at Day for Night”, festival producer Omar Afra told Billboard. The rest of the lineup will be revealed on September 14, and this news bodes well for a festival that is only in its second year of operation.
