But the psychologist whose name appears on the document in state records said Friday that she never evaluated a man who now ranks as the worst mass killer in American history.

Mateen then writes that his parents came to the USA from a war-torn country and how it is a “great blessing” to have grown up in a “safe” community filled with “honest, ethical, uncorrupt police officers enforcing public safety for the overall well being of the community”.

Omar Mateen was killed by police when he murdered 49 people at a gay nightclub in Orlando, Florida early Sunday morning, which meant a lot of the focus on the case then shifted to his wife.

“It’s just weird that he snapped like that”, she said.

Mateen was dismissed from the academy due to disciplinary behavior, such as sleeping in class, unexplained absences and joking about bringing a gun to class, which all happened in April 2007, records show.

The emerging evidence continues to twist the narrative surrounding Omar Mateen, as federal agents and experts in criminal profiling labor to untangle the confusing motivations that drove the 29-year-old security guard to massacre a packed gay nightclub in Orlando – all while checking Facebook to see if his act was getting noticed.

Lucie bartender, Heather LaSalla, told the Associated Press that Omar Mateen stalked her almost a decade ago.

Mateen was killed in a shootout with police after an hours-long standoff at the nightclub.

“The real Muslims will never accept the filthy ways of the west”.

He added that he was glad they did what they could to block him. They moved to Florida’s Treasure Coast, where Mateen attended Martin County High School and developed a reputation for being a hot-tempered “bully”, according to a school administrator.

“One of the things being looked at is why Mateen’s mother called the wife”, the source tells PEOPLE.

“Unfortunately, Omar has great difficulty focusing on his classwork since he often seeks the attention of his classmates through some sort of noise, disruption or distraction”, the letter said.

“He was one of those guys who wouldn’t leave me alone”, Heather LaSalla told The Associated Press on Friday.

The doctor says that she didn’t even live in Florida at the time of Mateen’s supposed evaluation and that she wasn’t performing work for the security company which, at that time, was referred to as Wackenhut. G4S says that the move was not made out of concern and that Mateen was never barred from carrying a weapon with their company and likely had one in his auto. She ran into him again at a park in November when she was with her young son and Mateen was with his, she said.

Ms Salman told officials she had tried to persuade her husband not to carry out the attack.
