Connectivity has been improved with iOS 9 through technology Apple has called Wi-Fi Assist, which automatically switches to use mobile data when a Wi-Fi connection is poor. Recent reports also indicated that a number of iPhone and iPad users came across with a recurrent message error that said: “Software Update Failed”.

The big fix from iOS 9.0.1 is designed to prevent users installing the update getting stuck on the “slide to upgrade” screen.

While some users will try and avoid updating to the latest version of iOS, it could put them at risk of security vulnerabilities and will eventually stop being supported by the latest apps, making an upgrade inevitable at some point.

Apple has released iOS 9.0.1, an update to iOS 9 that eradicates a major bug that was identified by Apple product owners. While the upgrade from the previous gen software was quite smooth, for most of us, there were a few nasty bugs that needed fixes as soon as possible. The new iOS 9 rolled out to the public on Wednesday, September 16.

Indeed, for those that like to hold back from downloading a new operating system to avoid these annoying early bugs, now looks as good a time as any to switch to iOS 9. If you don’t get the message then check the Software Update menu every couple of months and continue with the aforementioned steps.

This translates into faster performance and new possibilities, such as answering emails by talking to your watch and adding contacts for home apps.
