Those using an iOS 9-equipped iPad will notice the addition of Split View multitasking, Slide Over and Picture in Picture support, along with the ability to edit and present Keynote documents in portrait orientation.
Those using Pages, Keynote and Numbers for iOS and OS X will enjoy today’s update, which rolls out support for Split View, Force Touch and 3D Touch. Compatibility with Microsoft Office apps is also better now.
Each of the iWork apps has also received a long list of other minor feature improvements and updates that are available in both the iOS and Mac versions of the software.
Getting your Pages docs from here to there is even easier now. In all three of the apps, a Force click on an image will allow them to be edited, and this Force gesture has built-in haptic feedback.
Apple has also updated its iWork apps for iOS, notably adding split-screen multitasking support on the iPad and support for 3D Touch on the iPhone 6s and 6s Plus.
