Apple Watch Series Two is “swim proof”, Apple’s Chief Operating Officer Jeff Williams told a packed crowd in San Francisco. The device has 4G connectivity and expanded Wi-Fi capabilities.

Though you won’t be able to catch new Pokemon with the smartwatch, it will allow you to hatch your eggs while walking, monitor your level progression and take a look at nearby Pokemon without walking around with your iPhone in your hand.

Apple just introduced the Apple Watch 2 during its traditional September press conference.

“You’ll get GPS-accurate pace and distance”, he said, adding that programmers will be able to take advantage of the newly-included Global Positioning System. Apart from 2x GPU performances, we also get 2x display enhancement with 1000 nits of maximum brightness.

Finally, wrapping up, Apple revealed that the original Apple Watch, now named the Series 1, will stay in line, but will now come with the new dual-core processor.

Coming to the display, the Apple Watch Series 2 is made available in 38mm and 42mm display size variants. Apart from this, the strap comes with inbuilt batteries. This new watch will start from $269. This basically helps in launching the camera of the smartwatch. By allowing both third-party and built-in apps to be kept in memory, as well as update and refresh information in the background, even while a user isn’t using a particular app.

The watchOS3 will come with support for messaging.
