Apple Batterygate Scandal: Statement Released, Issue Settled
But how well it does that depends on a number of factors, such as software optimization and balancing battery life and performance.

The much awaited iPhone 6S and 6S Plus are all set to be officially launched in India.
Part of the reason the battery story is getting attention is that the iPhone 6s and 6s Plus models have become notorious for their short battery life.
Recently, there is a bit of whirlwind concerning Apple users’ claims that a few iPhone 6s versions with A9 processors from Samsung have substandard battery life than those iPhone 6s models that come with A9 processors sourced from TSMC. For instance, Snapdeal, one of Apple’s largest partners here, is bundling an interesting assured buyback offer with the iPhone 6S.
The iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus may pack Apple’s most powerful processor yet, but it turns out each version of the new A9 chip may not be created equal.
According to battery life benchmarks, the difference can be nearly two hours.
Officially Apple hasn’t said a word about its next smartphone – it’s still in the process of rolling out its iPhone 6S to the rest of the world.
Thus far, the battery tests that have been floated have involved looping a JavaScript test and Geekbench’s fixed-load test, which apparently stresses the iPhone 6 Plus at a fairly constant 30%. This means that you can grab Cupertino’s latest handset directly from Apple itself, without having to tie yourself to a carrier contract or any other sort of commitment.
If you buy a factory-unlocked unit, you get Band 30, so it will work optimally on all four US networks, as well as pretty much every other carrier in the world. In short, according to Apple, consumers shouldn’t worry about whether their iPhone comes with a TSMC or Samsung SoC.
The OIS is seen as a “game changer”, or “hands down the most significant improvement in the iPhone 6s Plus camera upgrade”.

It is not uncommon that even chips from the same manufacturer render different levels of performance. There are several conflicting reports, though evidence continues to mount that there is indeed an issue here.
