What’s new? 3D Touch is perhaps the biggest new addition.
The teardown also reveals the much-rumored smaller battery, coming in at 1715 mAh versus the previous 1810 mAh found on the iPhone 6.
Rival Samsung’s weak offerings this year will help distinguish Apple in the marketplace, says analyst Patrick Moorhead of Moor Insights & Strategy.
If you have an existing iPhone 6 and are thinking of upgrading to the latest iPhone 6s or iPhone 6s Plus, you’ll want to check out Sprint’s iPhone Forever lease plan. Apple has always optimised its software to ensure that the hardware never feels lacking, in order to provide the best user experience. Despite minor upgrades, customers are flocking to stores to buy the new phones and long lines have reportedly formed at Apple stores around the world.
The review adds that the regular iPhone 6s will get you thought the day, but you’ll need to recharge by nighttime. Last year’s models are now $100 cheaper than the new ones.
Lempesis told NBC Bay Area that she chose the Palo Alto store because Apple CEO Tim Cook might make an appearance, like he did for last year’s release of the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus. If you press down hard enough on certain app icons on your home screen, you’ll get a short menu of things you can do, rather than launch the app. These menus, which Apple calls Quick Actions, generally serve as shortcuts to particular features within those apps. At those terms, the iPhone 6s come out to $27.08 per month and $31.24 for the 6s Plus with zero down.
The new plans start at $27 and $31 per month for the 16GB iPhone 6s and 6s Plus, respectively, slightly less than Apple’s offer of $32. By pressing in a certain pattern you can basically unlock your phone, and this is a similar concept to Samsung’s pre-touch detection that it introduced several years ago.
