Apple fans make beeline for iPhone 7 in biggest-ever launch

They’re powered by an Apple-designed processor and special software that Schiller said will let users easily sync the wireless buds to their iPhone, Apple Watch and other Apple devices. Some reviewers said the phone offered only incremental improvements over previous versions, such as better battery life and water resistance, instead of dramatic new features. Overall, the data validates Apple’s desire to maintain some supply constraints until demand becomes a little more certain, in an effort to avoid the supply glut and associated cuts in the supply chain for iPhone 6S starting last November. Apple may have also believed that take.

With the iPhone 7 and 7 Plus, Apple may face a similar challenge.

Apple also announced that the jet black version was also sold out; only the matte black version was available today.

A lot of people are already speculating on what to expect from the upcoming device, and some have been hoping that the phone will feature a dual-camera system.

What makes the game of guessing iPhone supply all the more interesting is that Apple isn’t talking. But the iPhone 7 Plus, unlike last year’s model, bears the hallmark signs of waterproofing. While the company has touted total iPhone sales of one billion, the number sold in the quarter ending June 25 fell 15 percent from a year earlier, highlighting concerns over growth for the key profit driver.

RBC said worries remain that innovation is declining at Apple, with new sales driven more by existing owners replacing phones than new customers buying in. This is a significant difference from the iPhone 7 Plus, or at least the unit that iFixit had torn down, which was found to sport a Qualcomm MDM9465M modem. That is also a change from earlier in the year, when a sharp dive in tech highlighted investor concerns about slowing US growth. Meanwhile, Samsung Electronics Co.is recalling its competing Galaxy Note 7 smartphone because of battery fires. But if you’re an Apple bull, it is worth getting unequivocally excited about the company taking its luxury iPhone product and making it even more luxury.
